Ajo Se Afrikan is Yoruba and loosely translates to African Connection. The African Connection was founded in Miami, FL in 1989 by Omialadora Ajamu Ogunlano and Olomide Ogunlano. The family drum and dance ensemble traveled around the world, performing in places from London to the entire east coast of the U.S.A. The family moved to Gainesville, Florida in 1995 where they currently reside. In 2007, Odun Ogunlano branched out with his younger brother Mopwe Ogunlano and friend Kofi Horne to form their drum ensemble calling it Ajo Se Afrikan.
